  • Common Area

Our common area is where hikers unwind in what feels like home. The hiker kitchenette is stocked with the essentials for trail-friendly cooking -- hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and basic dishes and utensils. A comfortable sofa, TV with DVDs, books, puzzles, and board games offer plenty of ways to spend a laid-back zero.

For hikers looking to stretch or recover, the space also includes yoga mats, cork balls, massage rollers, and resistance bands.

  • Hammock Grove

Unwind in our hammock grove, where five hammocks sway beneath soft globe lights. From here, hikers can watch the sunset fade and look across to the twinkle of Main Street’s lights.

Nearby, our sunroom offers a space for morning coffee, journaling, or quiet reflection before heading back to the trail.

  • Community, Comfort, & Cleanliness

Located in downtown Franklin, The Grove Hostel welcomes Appalachian and Bartram Trail hikers with warmth and community. Run by former thru-hikers Willow and Bluebs, The Grove offers cozy, clean accommodations designed by hikers, for hikers.

Guests enjoy shared bunks or private rooms, laundry service with loaner clothes, a well-equipped kitchenette, and relaxing spaces like a hammock grove and sunroom. Just a short walk from Main Street’s restaurants, breweries, and shops, The Grove is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and experience Franklin, the first designated Appalachian Trail Community.

    Proudly woman owned.
