Bartram Trail
Approximately 112 miles, the Bartram National Recreational Trail winds from North Georgia into the heart of Southwestern North Carolina, with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge and the Smokies, and passing right through Franklin, home of The Grove.
A “purist” thru-hike walks you through the intersection of Main and Phillips Streets, just 0.3 miles from our front door, making us an ideal midway point for a shower, laundry, and comfortable night’s sleep indoors.
We also offer courtesy shuttles to and from the Hickory Knoll and Wallace Branch trailheads.
Sometimes called “the AT for people who don’t like people,” the Bartram offers a quieter trek through terrain much like that of the Appalachian Trail. Its parallels make the Bartram a solid choice for those gearing up for an AT thru-hike and a nostalgic return to familiar mountains for former thru hikers.
